Leica Sl2 Capture One

Leica Camera is happy to announce a new cooperation with Capture One. The premium photo editing software Capture One 21 Pro enables tethered shooting with the Leica S3 and the Leica SL2 from December 8th onwards. On December 10th, Capture One will release an update to support the Leica S (Typ 007) and SL (Typ 601). Convinced Leica SL users are forced to use Lightroom for tethering in a studio environment, and conversely convinced Capture One users will not work with Leica due to the same issue. It is in this higher end segment that Capture One can jump into a needy user.

Today Capture One released version 14.0.1 that was specifically created to support the Capture One 21 collaboration with Leica Camera and supports the new Leica SL2-S mirrorless camera (see this dedicated page):

The new Capture One 21 version 14.0.1 service release includes (see full release notes here):

  • Bug fixes
  • New lens support
  • New camera support
    • Leica SL2-S*
    • Leica SL (added tether support)*
    • Leica S (TYP 007)** (added tether support)*

* Live-view support is currently not supported.
** Leica S007 currently has preliminary Generic DNG profile support.
