By doing this it means when you visit a sensitive account and 1Password autofills, you just need to put in your 4 digit code on the end of the password. The idea of using double blind passwords means even if someone gets access to your 1Password vault, your most sensitive accounts are still safe and gives you chance to change it. Authy lets you manually add a code for 2FA on the Mac, but 1Passwords gives you the additional option of adding based on a QR code. I find it easier to do the add by using the scan.
